I am Queen by the grace of God,of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the faith, Sovereign of the British Orders of Knighthood, Captain General of the Royal Regiment of Artillery.
My Royal prerogative gives me ten powers as follows:1) Dismiss the government.
2) Declare war.3) Disband the army.4) Sell the navy.5) Dismiss the civil service.6) Give territory away.7) Make peers of the realm.8) Declare a state of emergency.9) Pardon offenders.
10) Establish Educational facilities.As a constitutional monarch, I reign but do not rule. My only rights are: be consulted, informed, encourage and to warn.As Queen,I personify Great Britain. The government is mine not Britain's government. British passports are issued in my name not the state. My face appears on all stamps and coins. My Royal coat dominates the judiciary. My Royal insignia governs the church.
Cabinet ministers are my ministers. State departments are my agencies. Those within my realm are my subjects.As the fountainhead of such honour as being Queen, I am a sacred symbol that elevates me above criticism. I command absolute fealty.My accession took place on February sixth 1952. My coronation was on June 2 1953.I was born April 21 1926 as Elizabeth Alexandra Mary of Windsor.
