About Me

I'm pretty sure this is the only Australian interview with US teen sensation Taylor Swift (back in November '06)

Behind The Scenes at the 'Summer's Little Angel' Shoot

I am Tim Holland. I'm a music and sports nut. One or two people have told me that they consider me to be the funniest person they know. I think that's nice. Others consider my humour to be completely stupid I too consider that to be a compliment.
Work wise, I'm the Label and A&R Manager for ABC Music's Country Music Label in Australia. Artists on the label include Lee Kernaghan, Catherine Britt, Travis Collins, Beccy Cole, Canadian group The Wilkinsons, Steve Forde and Shea Fisher. We have put out some albums this year that I can truely say i'm proud to have worked on. We've also signed some new acts that I think will really help liven up country music even more in Australia.
I'm also a music writer and write a weekly country music article for The Music Network Magazine (Australia's version of Billboard/Music Week etc). I also recently began new country music news and entertainment website. It features video interviews with high profile artists, album and concert reviews, news items, tour info and other fun stuff. Click on the banner above to take a look at the site yourself.
Incidentally, I would have preferred to just have had timholland at the end of this web address rather than timhollandcom, however a rather terrifying hippy rapper called "Sole" has beaten me to it.
Check out my TimHollandCountry.com video with The Wreckers (Jessica Harp & Michelle Branch) on the red carpet at the 2006 CMA Awards

My Interests

Music (mostly country and rock), most sports, positive living and building careers...

I'd like to meet:

Billy Joel, James Spader, Brooke Burke, the rest of Michael Tame's family and the guy that plays "Turtle" on Entourage...

In all seriousness, If your famous for just being famous, I probably don't think I'd have much interest in meeting you (for that reason alone). But the opportunity to meet people who are successful or the best at what they do (whether famous or not) is always a great thrill. There is much you can learn from such people.

Music:

I fear this could be judged not what is one here, but what isn't! But anyway, here are SOME of my favourite artists across several genres;

Ryan Adams, Keith Urban, Vince Gill, Brooks & Dunn, James Blundell, Steve Forde, Shooter Jennings, The Flood, Big & Rich, Adam Brand, Emerson Drive, Shea Fisher, Sherrie Austin, Phil Vassar, Toby Keith, Travis Collins, Beccy Cole, Lee Kernaghan, Ryan Shupe & The Rubberband, Bernard Fanning, Miranda Lambert, Andrew Morris, Catherine Britt, Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Powderfinger, U2, The Beatles, End Of Fashion, INXS (Old and new), Pearl Jam, Sick Puppies, Rouge Traders, Robbie Williams, James Blunt, The Veronicas, Gavin DeGraw, Billy Joel, Air Supply, Il Divo, Amici Forever, David Hobson, Genius, Kid Confucious

Movies:

I actually don't watch all that many movies. But I do enjoy saying that Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is my all time favourite! (I must get the DVD...) Jerry MacQuire and The Might Ducks Trilogy are also right up there...

Television:

CMC is a super channel. Las Vegas is a damn good show. Big Brother is the total pits... Other favourites; Boston Legal, Entourage, PTI, The Back Page, Ed, Rollin With.., Sports Center, The Wilkinsons and Married With Country...

Books:

The Pat Cash Story is outstanding.

Heroes:

My childhood heros included Wimbledon champion Pat Cash, Alan Jones, Ari Gold (Yeah, I know he's fictional!!), Australian cricket captain Allan Border and New York's greatest musician, Billy Joel!

Review: Billy Joel @ Acer Arena (Sydney) - November 15, 2006
