The Story - The members of Dr. Strangeblood & The New Zombies have all known each other since the first day their mothers all dropped them off at ABC DayCare. It was at that moment, when all the other children in the sandbox ganged up on them for being different and weird, that they formed a bond.
As the years went by they all grew up in the middle-class, suburban community, Sleepy Hallow Estates, and shared their birthday parties, picnics and science fair projects with each other. In addition to dealing with the dramas of growing up like most kids, the Zombie brothers, Veronica and Dr. Strangeblood had to endure the taunting of their classmates, especially the bullying they received from Larry, Carl and Mitch--the Frolicking Folksmen.
One day Dr. Strangeblood saw an ad at the highschool offering prize money for the winner of the school's upcoming talent competition. Desperately in need of money to fund one of his many outrageous inventions, Dr. Strangeblood convinced Veronica and the Zombie brothers to join him in forming a band and "Dr. Strangeblood & The New Zombies" was born.
After only a few practice sessions, to their amazement, they win the contest. Unfortunately for them, the Frolicking Folksmen, who had been performing for years, don't take losing the contest to Dr. Strangeblood's band very well. And on that day, Larry, Carl and Mitch each vowed to destroy Dr. Strangeblood and his band.
Not long after their first gig, the band was approached by Benny "Big Time" Cashmen, an good-hearted children's birthday party talent booker, who signed on as their band manager. What Benny lacks in talent and ability he makes up for in self-loathing and his bad taste in clothes. Benny has no "killer instinct" to defend the band from the evil, crooked entertainment personalities that come along to use, manipulate and steal from the band. But no matter how disappointed the band is, they just can't bring themselves to fire Benny.
We follow this struggling band of misfits as they pool their finances, move into an abandoned miniture golf course and set out on their journey to rock immortality. Along the way they're will get sidetracked and their friendships will be tested as they chase their rock and roll dream.
