About Me

My name is Jesse and I am from Utah. I started this page as sort of an unofficial fan club for my newest favorite country artist, Shauna. I first heard her music on myspace almost A year ago and since really like it. I have made this page with her permission and help, hope everyone likes the page. .About Shauna: Shauna Faegan was born twenty-two years ago in Cocoa Beach, Florida where Shauna's Dad served in the United States Air force. The little girl from Cocoa Beach began showing signs of her talent right away, Shauna's Mom Lisa stated "she has always had great lungs and wasn't afraid of sharing that talent with everyone" Shauna's first appearance was in a local pageant at the age of three, Shauna said, "didn't do much but spin around on stage, from there I started putting on my on little shows in front of the fire place for family and friends." Shauna began singing in Church at the age of six which she considers the starting point of her career. It wasn't long before she was making appearances at the Moose Lodge in Jacksonville, Florida where listeners received a sneak preview of what will one day become one of the most dynamic voices in country music. At the age of nine Shauna and her family moved to Hortense, Georgia located in the southeastern portion of the state. At ten years old she appeared on a live television show in Cordele, Georgia on WSST. Shauna continued through her pre-teens performing at fundraisers and even her first talent show making her the "Miss Dixie Sweetheart". Before turning thirteen she traveled north to the biggest little city in the world, Manhattan, New York. Shauna proved that if you can make it there you can make it anywhere as she proudly represented the state of Georgia by placing second out of thirty eight contestants in the North American Scholastic Pageant. Shauna enrolled for professional vocal training at the Christian School Of The Arts where she studied opera under vocal coach Dawn Croft. "I had a great time with Dawn, she would let me sing whatever I wanted after the lesson and I loved that!" stated Shauna. At age thirteen she traveled north to South Carolina to participate in six performances in the musical entitled Snoopy "it was really fun getting a chance to sing and act together" said Shauna. Shauna competed in the Battle of The Bands in Jekyll Island Georgia where she placed second to open for Mark Wills and George Jones then moved on to open for the Kentucky Headhunters, soon after radio interviews and more fundraisers. At age seventeen she joined the Southeast Georgia band ..Legal Limit.. playing clubs throughout Southeast Georgia and Northern Florida. Shauna moved to Nashville Tennessee in 2004 with hopes of realizing her life long dream to become a country recording artist, In the summer of 2006 that dream took a quantum leap forward when Shauna was performing a few songs at the Preston Hotel on the outskirts of Nashville. Raymond Termini, President & CEO of Category 5 Records, which is the home of Grammy Award winner Travis Tritt, proven hit maker Sammy Kershaw, and a roster of newcomers stopped by to see his friend and singer song writer Tony Stampley. Termini heard Shauna loud and clear and wanted to hear more. "the first time I heard Shauna sing I knew that her roots in country music ran very deep. The heart and soul that she pours into a song can only come from living it, simply put ..she gets it.. She can sing a country song as strong as any female vocalist I have ever heard come out of Nashville. My gut knew immediately that she had the potential to be a huge star, I was introduced to her by Tony Stampley who assisted me in producing a piano vocal demo on her the following week. What occurred in the studio was nothing short of magic, her voice came through in recordings as clear and as strong as I hoped it would" Two months later Termini acted on his gut feelings and signed Shauna to a recording contract. Termini and noted music row producer Billy Joe Walker are co-producing Shauna's debut album on Category 5 Records which the label hopes to release in the fall of 2007. "I truly feel fortunate to be working with an artist as strong as Shauna, she is one of the best I have ever worked with and I couldn't be more excited for her" stated Billy Joe Walker. Shortly after her signing with Category 5 Records Shauna received a call from Termini with a special request. Termini asked Shauna if she would be willing to sing a duet with country superstar Joe Diffie on the labels new tribute album to the legend George Jones. Shauna would be included on an album that featured Vince Gill, Pam Tillis, Garth Brooks, Sammy Kershaw, Mark Chestnut, Tanya Tucker and Tracey Lawrence. Needless to say, Shauna agreed to be on the album entitled God's Country, featuring George Jones and Friends. The album hit the streets on October 17, 2006 and reviews have come back very strong on Shauna and Joe's renditions of Golden Ring and I'm Gonna Hold On. Shauna Faegan is certainly off to a good start. "It is my hope that Nashville will come to love me as much as I love Nashville"
