Dave is a guitarist in Austin, Texas who grew up in Des Moines, Iowa, then migrated to the San Francisco Bay area and finally laid down roots in Austin. Dave plays with several projects of varying styles, including fusion, rock and blues or 'blusion', and alternative country. Dave currently plays with two major projects. Rainravens are an Austin based alternative country rock band, with a strong European following. And BURLY , an electrifying guitar, bass and drum trio with a horn section. Influenced by the deep grooves originating from the bayous of Louisiana and New Orleans with an emphasis on improvisation. Rock n Roll Gumbo. BURLY performs regularly in the Austin area.
Dave produced the Rainravens new CD "Garden Rocket" for Blue Rose-Records. The CD has been released throughout Europe, on the Web and elsewhere. You can also order their discs at villagerecords.com . It is now available for download on iTunes. Dave produced and recorded 'Garden Rocket' at his home studio, played electric and acoustic guitar, keyboards and sang harmony on the record. Rainravens take off to tour Europe to promote 'Garden Rocket' in October 2007.
Dave has played with and shared the stage with some great musicians over the years ...like Etta James, Warren Zevon, Narada Michael Walden, The Tubes, Neil Schon, Jonathan Cain, George Thouroghgood, Huey Lewis and the News, The Yellow Jackets, Edgar Winter, Arc Angels, Eliza Gilkyson, Jason and the Scorchers, The Neville Brothers and Joe Ely have been some of the highlights.
