About Me

Profile Edited by EditMySpace.org
Born and raised in Rochester, NY, I became hooked on music after seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. My first gig was at the age of 12 playing bass lines on an amplified acoustic guitar. I soon switched to guitar but after a couple years was playing the bass as my main instrument. I played in many local bands from the mid 1960's to 1980 when I went on the road with Chris "Stovall" Brown for a short period. When that gig ended I again resumed playing in various local bands such as the Lifters, the Third Degree, the Nightstalkers, Resurrection, Mark Charles & The Blues Express, Texas Son, Bill Fronefield & Midnight Express, the Spaceheaters, Side Pocket, the River Katz, Certified Groove, the Fred Vine Blues Band, the Blues Coalition, Smokehouse and Crosscut in addition to numerous fill-in gigs. As the industrial decline in Rochester led to the closing of many clubs, I decided to relocate to Austin. Since arriving in February of 2006 I've worked with Alan Haynes, John McVey, Jimi Lee & The Unsung Heroes, Buddy Miles, 47 Pound Rooster, Luke Cutchen, Li'l Steph & The Chromatics, The Lake Snakes and others I've also had the pleasure of playing with Pinetop Perkins, Uncle John Turner, Guitar Shorty, Paul Orta and many other fine players.
