Frustration. That's what is all about... When i began to play the drums some fifteen years ago, most of the musicians i jammed with most of the time did only expect one thing from my part : to be the timekeeper. Nothing more. Yeah, it's already a lot of work, i know.
But from the start, to be locked up in that play wasn't satisfying enough for me. Rhythm is everything. But i always had tons of melodies inside my head. Thus, somehow, it seems it was unbelievable for most of them to imagine that deep inside this (more or less) metronomic organic machine i am supposed to be to satisfy their expectations, their wishes and their needs, there are feelings and ideas i felt the urge to express.
So basically, my first home made record in 2003 was something i needed to do, really. With collected devices and scribbled ideas, the third remaining factor to make it come real was time.
And i fearlessly took it.
Since then, many things occured ; concerts, recording albums one after another, and collaborations... Lots of.
2007 awaits right ahead and many other things are already taking place. But still, i want more. Do you ?
