Born in 1966, started rehearsing with the Honeymoon Killers (Les Tueurs de la lune de miel) back in the mid 80's but got side tracked : started touring and recorded 2 LP's with Tuxedomoon - from 1985 on... Yvon Vroman had the bad idea to die anyway! Always "wanted to be a serious contemporary composer" 'till I discovered nothing is so serious.
Went on, either composing, arranging or just playing, with Anna Domino, Blaine L. Reininger, Steven Brown (Nine Rain), Eddy Loozen, Geoff Leigh (the very "spirit of experimental"), Minimal Man (late Patrick Miller), The Weather man, Drem Bruinsma, Nikki Mono, Didier Odieu, some jazz bands and who else...
Than it was time to start composing for film : Anne Levy Morelle's "Le Rêve de Gabriel" was the first succesfull aventure, back in 1996 (film was released in '97). 40 and some film's music latter : with the Internet started Musique pour images.com (the "cinematic episode" is all in there).
Along with it came some refreshing adventures, like this trio with Igor Semenoff & Willy Gouders : pure contemporary improvised music - but on mondays only. Well, now... we'll see what comes next. It's all a dream, isn't it? I hope you enjoy yours and keep alive this boundless curiosity.
