Mid summer 2003 brought Lionsgate and drumming extrordinare Reg James,
formerly of Sinisteria together to form the gate’s powerful rhythm section featuring
Aldridge-esque double bass drumming.
Lionsgate and Lead Vocalist/Writer Paul DeBellis were to join forces in the summer
of 2005, which would complete the creative nucleus for the band.
Combined influences rooted deeply in a love for technically proficient music,
Lionsgate is a fusion of classical influences like Bach, Paganini and Vivaldi,
integrated with 80’s style heavy metal sound and attitude.
Lionsgate’s original compositions, though signature in sound, have the remnant
traits of such iconic predecessors as Yngwie Malmsteen, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden,
Black Sabbath and Dio.
The creative writings and concepts of DeBellis, Sloan and James lead you down the road to discovering the greater mysteries and realities of our world, past and present.
From the crystal skulls of Atlantis and the temple of the Magician, to the gateway of
The Circles of Stone.
The eternal afterlife and our metaphysical universe, to our planet of insanity and
our enduring living hell here on earth, is some of what to expect lyrically from
Lionsgate’s highly anticipated self entitled release due out Feb 2007.
