About Me

Myspace Layouts
The very first thing that comes to mind is that I love to meet people and to engage them in conversation so I can get to know them. I have learned from my life that what really matters is the connection that we have with each other. What truly has enriched my life are the experiences I have with friends, family and others.I love to travel. There is nothing more fascinating to me than to see every corner of this beautiful world. There is so much negatvity in the world today. Traveling reminds me of what is wonderful and gives me hope.I love humor in all its forms. Nothing is better than a good laugh. I mean even writing this little bio is funny to me. "About Me" sounds so over the top considering that my life is pretty much like many others. I do not think it will ever make the Oprah book club. I would have to make things up and then apologize to her on national TV.Life has been nothing like I expected. I made the arduous and painful journey of coming out of a marriage. It took years for me to accept this part of me. I grew up in a religious atmosphere where being gay was something inherently wrong something that I could overcome with faith and effort. In counseling, I learned that that effort was full of folly. Faith does not let you change truth but to accept it.I am glad that younger people today are learning this earlier in life.Having married young, I also had children young. I have four beautiful kids. All I know is that I will forever love them with all my heart. They occupy my thoughts and heart every waking moment.People have asked me about my ethnic background. I feel like I am reciting a recipe. I was born on the island of Guam in the Western Pacific. It is a U.S. Territory. My ancestry includes the native Chamoru, Spanish, Portuguese, American Irish and I think Chinese or Japanese. Bascially, I represent the people of the future :-)...one big ethnic soup as this world gets smaller and smaller.I have been asked about religion. I grew up a Catholic and converted to Mormonism. Learned a lot from both of them. I do not attend or affiliate myself with a particular church. My spiritual journey continues.I have a partner of over 8 years. His name is Gary. He is a High School teacher. He is intelligent, caring, handsome and loving. We love our life and are happy. I found myself and he came into my life to take this exciting journey together. plain layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com
