***READ ABOUT THE LINE ATLANTIC IN MOTE MAGAZINE! ***
Email:
Home is quickly becoming a semi-industrialized hub in southern Edmonton: a large room above the ground, above the mechanics. The inhabitants of this home form a collective. 6 people, from varied past and present Edmonton projects, make up what has been dubbed The Line Atlantic.
The Line Atlantic is a massive sound that fills the area with a moody feel and ambient intensity. Thumping through it all is the backbone created by Medium Jeff and Little Jeff, the ultra-tight drum and bass rhythm section. Driving the beat is the thick and inventive guitar of Big Jeff. Sonic intensity and spacey creativity reach a new high with the noodling arrangement of sound offered by Trevor's guitar and Katie's keyboards. The dynamic highs and moody lows are enhanced with the bright and huge aspects of Kelvin's vocals, which are completed with the well-placed voices of Katie, Big Jeff, and Trevor.A range of sound is explored by TLA - everything from quiet ambience to devastating intensity. The varied musical backgrounds of the band members are well-heard, meshing and interweaving to form a unique sound - a sound that makes you think while carrying the message and emotion that went into its creation. Elements of punk, experimental, pop, spacey, and hardcore rock add up to the sound that is TLA.Welcome to our electronic home. The songs we have up are off our new album, The Subhuman Condition. It'll be available as of March 3, 2007. We're working out how to get it to people through online shopping/downloading and will keep you posted.Until then, keep coming out to shows. We'll keep playing 'em because that's where our hearts lie.For booking etc, please contact thelineatlantic (at) hotmail (dot) com.
