It's not easy for an artist,producer to make it in this world of entertainment and it's especially hard if you don't have a well established manager in your corner. "Whatever you do... do not get your boys or your cousin and them to manage your career!!" Who ever said that didn't know that most of the great managers out there started as someone's boy who didn't have a manager.
This is where Antonio Starr felt he could assert himself into the game. Only thing he didn't have a boy in this city that he picked his family up and moved to mainly to pursue his dreams of becoming a mogul (not Mongol) in the entertainment industry. While some grassroots manager like to take on a stable of rappers/producers/singers Antonio Starr's motto is "Quality Not Quantity". "I knew I couldn't jump on this new horse with a whole bunch of weight before I learned how to ride it." stated Antonio of his humble beginnings back in the early 2000's. "I had to go through the wet behind the ear stages, I knew that... I managed 2 groups and spent a lot of money. I will not say I blew money because it was a learning experience." he continued. "Once I met Life The Great I dropped all the other extraneous groups and activities immediately!" The reason that I am here on Myspace is two fold. The first is to explore another avenue of promoting my company Urban Acres Entertainment and my artist Life The Great and the other is to network with other managers. I am not (as I once was) too proud or cocky to ask for help from more established and seasoned managers. I know it will only help myself and all those who I will manage now and in the future. At the same time I want to make myself available to anyone that's just getting their operation off the ground and may require information from me as well.
