I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

My passion for wine started over dinner with some friends. I was given a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile for Christmas, and I wanted to share it with my friends. Ive never really had such a good wine as I did that night. What a difference between commercially produced wines as opposed to small vineyard wines; I thought. I was automatically hooked; I remember having my senses clear that night. I could taste everything that the wine was projecting. At that moment I believed that no wine is the same. There is true uniqueness to each wine.Ive taken several courses of wine education at F.I.U. being certified in many wine categories (not that, that means anything). Wine is what you make of it. Its an individuals identity that makes one unique, so to goes for wine. It can change moods in a room full of people instantly. Try it out for yourself. Next time your hosting or having dinner with friends, and the mood doesnt feel right; open a bottle of Champagne. I guarantee smiling faces all around. A sense of celebration, and thats what wine is. A celebration of life. Humanity has been using it longer than weve kept history records. Religions use it to cleanse the soul. It is the oldest form of alcohol in our history. So forget all those stereotypes that youve heard about wine, and enjoy it the way man/woman intended it to be enjoyed. As a celebration of life. Ill be posting new wines I try and restaurants around Miami I like. I hope I can be some help on those weekends when you just want to get away from the busy and partying life. Please feel free to leave us any suggestions on new wines you try or restaurants youve gone to. ALEX C.

My Interests

Another nice treasure from the Cotes du Rhone France, this part of France has been improving in quality for the past few years. Not that there wine wasn’t top quality to begin with; they’re just starting to stamp themselves of top quality along with Bordeaux and Burgundy. This wine can be enjoyed on its own or with food. Its nose is of strawberries, earthy, and a nice undertone of mushrooms. The palate jumps of fruit with a nice touch of tannins, just enough to make it elegant. Enjoy everyone.

I'd like to meet:

It’s kind of funny how I started my love for wine. When I was in my early twenties I started to get a liking to wine because of the good buzz that I would get. Fortunately Alexis steered me in the right direction by explaining to me some of the things that he had experienced and learned. I found it so interesting that we decided to take a small course in M.D.C.C. which later took us to more advanced courses in F.I.U. Since then I cannot imagine eating a good steak, pasta, or almost any type of food without a good glass of this amazing fruit. I hope you enjoy our postings, and remember to enjoy wine at your own taste. JOEY S.
