Born and raised in East Harlem, surrounded by the positive's & negative's of my environment, my grandparents raised me and the streets taught me common sense and I seen the negative aspects of the streets. I had a couple childhood friends die from those negative aspects. I chose to stay in the positive path and Basketball was my love and my protection Thank GOD. I was good at it on the blacktop and I was good enough to play in college. I stayed away from the Drugs, Hustling, & Crime, I have my grandparents and my different Mentors/Coaches from Harlem to thank for it. I also loved I grew up in the Mecca New York and the beginning's of Hip Hop. I witness the Jams in the park with the DJ hooking up their equipment to the lamposts and MC'S spitting going at it. I couldn't wait to cop my Cold Crush Brothers vs. Crash Crew cassette..Haa! Now we are in the Myspace/Digital World..lol. Hip Hop has given Black people opportunities that I couldn't even imagine and I'm proud. I didn't realize the gift God gave me of writing until I started listening to Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway and Luther Vandross. I started singing & memorizing lyrics until one day I picked up a pen and the rest is History! I moved to LA to pursue my goals & dreams of being a Entrepreneur Songwriter/Producer and owning my own company of writer's and changing the game of Music/Film/TV. We live in a world of Negative Images & Negative people and we need balance, this is my Mission. I want to thank my ..1 & ..2 supporters in my life my Wife & my daughter because they are both the backbone of my struggle & success! I Thank God for also surrounding me around positive people in my life (Shoutout to XL) that encourage me and support my goals & aspirations. Anybody that has growup in the Ghetto/Hood could tell the same story as I so I'm in no way saying my story is unique but you always hear the negative aspects of making it out, I'm just giving the positive. I hope it inspires somebody from the Urban area's, Suburbs to around the world. To end this I only allow in my life REAL PEOPLE cause that is what Harlem produced in me & GOD! No Haters or Fake people allowed in my circle. Lastly...like my quote next to my profile says...The words I live by: "SKY'S THE LIMIT...MY MUSIC, My Writings, & LIFE-MY FINAL DESTINATION IS HEAVEN". When I leave I want to be remembered for My Music, My Works, & Uplifting Minds! That is the Benchmark...GOD BLESS U ALL.
