Candy Bar launched its original cafe/bar venue in Brighton in October 2000, becoming the cities first fulltime lesbian bar. In March 2004 the business relocated to its present home, also on St James St, conveniently situated in the heart of the gay village. Now as the UKs first-ever fulltime lesbian nightclub, the venue boasts a late license till 2am during the week and has a 24hour license on the weekends -(except Sunday). With an impressive array of quality DJS/ entertainment every evening, cut-price cocktails & shots, a pool table and an open door policy that welcomes all friends of gay girls.This fun and funky venue offers real diversity of space given the clubs intimate size; you can lay low in the pink- lit arches, cruise the girls as they hang out along the curvaceously shaped main bar, play pool with your mates, watch the bar girls get creative at the cocktail & shooter bar, or sit around the central dance-floor so your ready to jump up and dance when the music moves you.
