With a passion to sing and do God's will, an ambitious group of young people envisioned a choir. Having much experience on previous choirs, they didn't want this particular choir to be like any other. They wanted to be a Generation Now choir. These youth had a burning desire to reach and change people's lives through song. They wanted to show young people that being a Christan was nothing to be ashamed of and it was a lot of fun. Putting their Faith to action, they scheduled a rehearsal for people who had the same vision and desire as they had acquired. Thus "One Accord" was established under the leadership of Minister Johnny M. Sizemore. Having his own vision for this group, Minister Sizemore stresses the fact that it's more to a choir than just singing. It's about touching the lives of others, and the up building of God's kingdom. The Bible declares, "Some things only come through fasting and praying". moving in the way of the Lord, Minister Sizemore was lead to submit this ministry under the spiritual covering of his Pastor, Pastor Lenny Gaines Founder and Pastor Of Power House Christian Center. and Pastor Derrik A. Cooper Founder/Overseer of Power Generation Ministries out of Atlanta, Georgia. And Being one of the youngest organized Christan groups, they have been through a lot. They realize that their storms aren't meant for a set back but for a set up to prepare them for the increase that God is about to pour into their ministry. The members of this group are mostly from, but are not limited to the Greenville area. Many people have come and many have since gone to college. One Accord thus strives not to be focused on how many choir members it obtains, but on how many souls they save. They are a group who believes that you don't need 100 people to raise a joyful noise but when two or three are gathered together in his name he will be in the midst. Due to hard work and much needed prayer, this group has been asked to sing at numerous engagements.Throughout their growing process, they have been able to minister through song at various programs, including the opening up for Gospel recording artist Tye Tribbet and G.A. Their motto is, "IF THERE IS NO RAIN IN YOUR LIFE HOW WILL YOU GROW". Understanding the fact that they are not in competition with others they strive only to seek a life that is pleasing to God, for they have certainly been called for such a time as this. They strive to take every opportunity that they see fit to spread the good news of the Lord.
