His Word N' Motion School of Dance is the official School for His Word N' Motion Dance Company. Bobbie Ethridge founded this dance school in 2006. Bobbie Ethridge is an ambitious woman of God with the knowledge of God’s purpose for her life.
Bobbie Ethridge received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Webster University in
May 2002. As a trained Christian dancer with 14 years of experience, she was an active member of the
A.G.A.P.E. Praise Dancers out of San Diego, California where they ministered throughout the States,
local church’s, and mastered Sign Language. She was also an original member of The Steps of Praise
who have ministered and toured with the relatively known Kirk Franklin.
In 2000, Bobbie took leadership over Signs of Praise Dance Ministry in Los Angeles, California, where
they ministered at numerous Praise Dance Showcases and local church's. This is when God took Bobbie
to another level in ministry and leadership. In 2004, she moved to Atlanta, GA and began dancing with
New Life Baptist Church Praise Dance Ministry, then soon took the leadership role as the Adult Dance
Leader, where she is still serving.
"I've dreamed of opening a Christian Dance School since the day I began dancing for Christ. I believe
the effectiveness of diligent training should be exemplified in the faces that surround you daily. I am
totally sold out to the concept of the arts being used for the sake of the gospel. However, more than I
want to train people to be artists, I desire to train artistic minded people to be ministers. Most important
though, is the person’s first ministry – the family. I do not want people to just escape from their
responsibilities of home life for the sake of the gospel, but that they would run to their families with the
gospel. I believe in Family first. When our students meet us, they will feel a part of our family, but as
they are trained, I pray they will want to turn around, look at their own families, and likewise minister."
