Melissa grew up in the Laurentian mountains north of Montreal, Canada. She had a dream of performing since she was a little girl, and at the age of 15 decided to persue singing as more than a hobby. She began by entering contests, auditioning and winning spots on national Television shows and was very quickly asked to entertain at private events, her most memorable was singing the national anthem before an audience of 22 000 during a CFL Thanksgiving football game, all within a couple of years. Melissa soon realized that being part of anything and everything concerning music was in reality, a passion.
This passion soon encompassed the need for more and Melissa decided to turn to songwriting. At the age of 17, she wrote her first song and it continued from there. Since then she has worked with songwriters such as Albert Chambers, Greg Critchley, Bridget Benenate (Kelly Clarkson, JoJo), Matthew Gerrard (Kelly Clarkson, JoJo) just to name a few.
She is currently in the Studio writing and recording new songs for her EP, in Montreal. She is also flying back and forth from Montreal to Los Angeles to finish her songs and to make herself known in the LA music scene.
Melissa has just the right combination of great talent, beauty and drive, and is well on her way to acheive the epitome of her passion of being a singer and songwriter in other words, she has the "it" factor, the indefinable element needed to make it to international stardom.
