You can also see Skott's latest video, 'Hechizo Del Amor,' on youtube. So, a little about me? Well, my life story so far is long and complicated, so I'll just give you an abbreviated version of the musical part. If you don't have time to read this, you can just Google 'Skott Francis', and it should tell you everything you need to know. I have recently changed my name back to my real name, Franky Skott, but as you know, things take time to catch up when you change your name. Otherwise, you can just ask me personally, send me a message or a comment, and I'll get back to you. I love meeting new people in the industry, it's like the world's largest family!!!!I became a full time singer/songwriter late in 2000, and I haven't looked back since. Through a friend of a friend, I met someone who had a studio. I went in with the first 3 ideas I ever had, he liked what he heard, and we used the resulting EPK to attract management. My first manager was called Bob Miller. We worked together for about 2 and a half years, learned a lot, and then went our seperate ways. He went on to have a hand in launching the career of a certain Miss Bailey Ray, but before he left he introduced me to someone called Bill Smith. Bill had some contacts and a hell of a history in the industry, and helped me out for about a year and a half. I learned even more, we had some great laughs, and we went our seperate ways. But just before he left, he introduced me to my wonderful manager, who I'm still with today after 3 years, a little Northern champion by the name of Erika Lee.I'd already done a lot, written a lot of songs and worked with some cool people, but things really moved up a gear when Erika and I began our partnership. I've gigged all over England, worked with some well respected industry pro's on both sides of the pond and in Scandinavia and Europe and notched up a catalogue of over a hundred songs, including one that was eventually recorded by the Sugababes, travelled a LOT, signed 2 contracts with a possible 3rd on the way, one of which was with Universal, had a single released and featured on a multi-million-euro ad campaign for Head&Shoulders in Europe and the UK, done a music video in Israel, spent 3 months in a hotel in Costa Rica filming a TV show with Steve Stone, formerly of Ruffhouse Records,(that was surreal!), met some unbelieveably cool and oh so talented people, and had more ups and downs and lefts and rights than the New York New York roller-coaster in Las Vegas!!!! And we're just getting started. Right now that rollercoaster has taken me to Stockholm, Sweden, and I'm working with some great people, meeting some great people, finding my feet in this beautiful city, working on a new style of music that I'm really enjoying, and waking up every day not knowing what's going to happen next...I love this business!!!!There's a lot of people to whom I'm grateful for the help and support I've had so far. Clive and the whole Lee/Miller massive, you guys brighten up Silsden no end and I love ya.
Simon Cookson, my genius songwriting-machine brother-in-arms, you're a hidden legend. Markus Wagner and John Keenan, what we did has helped me more than you could know.Guido Fernandez, you will soon be discovered my friend, thanks so much for your help with 'Just Be Wise', the other songs are still there, just waiting for those magical finishing touches, so don't you worry hermano. Big Mama Stevie and everyone at APB Audio (thanks for Hechizo, it's still one of my fave's), Ross and Jeff, Rod Bowkett, Leigh Heggarty, all the guys at DSign, Norway, Scobie and Graham, Tony Delaney, Dave Armsrong, Greg Cusack aka YT, and anyone else I've worked with, thanks so much for helping me with the music, it's not forgotten. To all my US family, Laura and Dawn, Ebb, Kev and Mel, DeeDeeDo and Dave, Jimmy and Gary, Anouska, Aro Sanchez and all my brothers from the Fragment Crew, thanks so much for the kindness you have shown me. Paul, Tolga and Christine, Kandice and everyone else at En2Go Entertainment, hope it's all going well for you guys, and I wish you the best of luck with what you're doing over there. Thanks again to my amazing manager, Erika. I really wouldn't be anywhere near here without you. Your belief in me is an inspiration, and you have to know that there's no way I'm going to let you down girl, we've earned this!!!!!Thanks to Jan Destner at Stockholm International Recordings for all the help, the great beats, and for everything that you're doing for me here in Stockholm, and to Lalla at Lalla Investment for all your help. Thanks also to my wonderful dancers, Mathilda and Kattis, you have no idea how much it helps having you guys up there with me.Thanks most of all to my incredible mum, and my happy-ass uncle. I don't know what I would have done without your support. I know there's much more to tell, but I'm saving that for the autobiography...haha!Enjoy the music, and hopefully one of us will see one of us again soon.
Much love, and good luck to you, whatever your dream is. Skott.x.
