Léo Cuenca

DJ-PRODUCER

About Me

Léo Cuenca knew what he wanted to do since he was 10 years old. It all started with a battery-operated mixer with no pre-amp. He started his career in the Parisian clubs at the Whisky à Gogo in 1989, before moving on to the airwaves Voltage FM, then NRJ. Afterwards, he get his own mixshow Le Mix De Léo on FUN Radio, a cult house music show where he received such eminent guests as : Masters At Work, Kings Of Tomorrow, Joey Negro, Jon Cutler, Bob Sinclar, Milk'N Sugar, Roger Sanchez, Cleptomaniacs aka Brian Tappert & John Julius Knight, Paul Johnson, Jay J, Sir Piers, Dennis Ferrer, Derrick Carter, Karizma and Martin Solveig.
And now RADIO FG (the French DJ Radio) with still a mix show. He counts Little Louie Vega among his influences, as well as respect for Joey Negro and Brian Tappert (who is now is guest DJ in his radio mix show once a month on Radio FG).
When Léo is not on the air, he still takes to the wheels of steel in the largest Parisian clubs (Le Queen, Les Bains Douches, L' Amnésia, Le WAGG, L'Elysée- Montmartre) and Bercy in front of 15 000 people (retransmitted on line on Fun Radio during 5 hours), the Bazar (Marseille), and the Virgin Megastore on the Champs-Elysées. And it makes now 2 years he has a monthly residence at the Mixx Club, the biggest and most beautiful parisian nightclub !
You can feel the sand and the sun through his mixes (maybe because of his Spanish origins !). It shifts his audience into a dreaming place, can you tryly believe it ? The only way to say for sure is to attend one of his sets. But from what we know and what we've heard, Leo stays true to his Iberian heritage, bringing happiness and relaxation to the dancefloor.
