Tom Conrad

Tom’s exposure to dance music came at an early age with the arrival of acid house and throughout his youth has had many influences from drum & bass through to trance. He has taken this wide range of influences with him onto the dance floor. Tom’s DJ style is unique in that he likes to play music from lesser-known artists and create an emotional and uplifting atmosphere.
In 2003, Tom started a weekly DJ residency at Nottingham’s then premier house night – Lovezoo @ The Lost Weekend playing alongside and warming up for the likes of Danny Rampling, Allister Whitehead, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Seamus Haji, Stanton Warriors and Jo Mills to name but a few. In April 2007, he left his residency to DJ elsewhere and to find the time to concentrate ..ing music production. His first production ‘Diamond Life’ earned much acclaim at the Miami Winter Music Conference 2007. His first release was two remixes of Blackliquid’s ‘Gotta Be Me’ on Open Bar records (NY) in May 2007. He has now had several other projects released on various labels including MoD, Loopfreaks, White Lotus Club and Blacksoul records.
In 2008, Tom started setting up Adaptation Music to focus on releasing music, hosting events and hosting radio shows. Adaptation is now a monthly event at Nottingham’s trendy venue ‘Escucha’ and has a fortnightly show on top internet radio station SS Radio. The label is underway and due to launch in the summer, having already signed some top artists and music. The brand is looking to fully establish itself in the heart of the dance music industry and there are exciting times ahead…
