About Me

Rustbelt Radio is the Pittsburgh Independent Media Center 's weekly review of the news from the grassroots. We're an all-volunteer collective dedicated to grassroots social justice through independent media production.

Rustbelt Radio airs live every Monday from 6-7 PM on WRCT 88.3 FM in Pittsburgh, PA, and again on Tuesday mornings 9-10 AM. We're also on Pacifica affiliate WVJW Benwood , 94.1 FM in the Wheeling, West Virginia area, on Thursdays from 6-7 PM. And we're on WPTS 92.1FM 10-11AM on Wednesday mornings from the campus of the University of Pittsburgh.


How to listen:
    Live every Monday from 6-7pm on WRCT 88.3FM in and around Pittsburgh, and again on Tuesday mornings at 9AM .
    We can also be heard on WVJW 94.1FM (in the Wheeling, WV area) on Thursdays 6-7 PM
    and WPTS Pittsburgh 92.1FM on Wednesday mornings 10-11 AM from the University of Pittsburgh campus. also, a live Web Stream is available from: WRCT.org (Monday 6-7PM)

    People who want to produce their own Media. People who think the corporate media is disempowering! People who want to report on issues that matter to them. People who love Radio and want to produce it. People who like going to events and recording them. People who like to stand on street corners and interview people about the news of the week. People who are radical independent news junkies. People who like writing news articles. People who believe that there is an alternative to this capitalist hell that we live in and that independent media is an important step on the path away from it.

DO NOT FRIEND REQUEST US IF YOU ARE A BAND THAT JUST WANTS TO PROMOTE YOUR MUSIC. WE HARDLY EVER PLAY MUSIC AND WHEN WE DO IT HAS TO BE POLITICAL AND RELATED TO A THEME ON OUR SHOW.
