The band is driven by Rod Carney on drums who provides the straight up, no nonsense beats creating a solid, grounded feel to ANTHEM.
Completing the rhythm section is bassist Aldo Pena, who lends an urban, powerful and dynamic element to the band.
Guitarist Luke Saunders radiates a raw melodic energy that sets the scene for ANTHEM’S infectious music.
Uniting ANTHEM on guitar and lead vocals is Paul Daniel. Paul’s compelling and at times haunting voice combined with emotive and heart rendering lyrics, wraps it’s self around the audience entrancing them in the moment.
Three years have seen ANTHEM inspire audiences across the state with regular tours across both metropolitan and regional New South Wales, performing at venues such as The Annandale Hotel, The Agincourt Hotel, The Lewisham Hotel, The Cambridge, The Gaelic Club, The Lansdowne Hotel, Spectrum, Caringbah Bizzos and The Excellsior Hotel.
Live, ANTHEM are a force to be reckoned with, creating a spirited, electric, infectious feel at each and every gig they play. Their ability to captivate and draw audiences into their world is truly masterful.
ANTHEM’s debut EP “Centered Self†was launched in July 2007 to rave reviews. The remainder of 2007 sees the band releasing the first single and video titled “Cooâ€.
