Originally from Berlin, Germany, I started playing guitar in 1983. In 84, I bought my first BOSS DS-1. It didn’t take long for the pedal to end up in pieces as I embarked on my quest for the perfect distortion pedal.
At the time, replacement parts were impossible to come by, therefore, most modifications took years to yield results.
Now, however, things have changed. With the internet, it's now possible to locate the best quality parts and the information required to modify guitar pedals efficiently.
Now, in 2007, Von Lehmann Engineering can bring you some of the best guitar pedal modifications available anywhere in the world.

Backstage, at Sydney's Enmore Theatre, Von got the chance to talk to Joe about pedal modifying and then presented Joe with two heavily modified BOSS pedals.
These two modified BOSS pedals ( DS-1 & MT-2 ) are available to the public through the Von Lehmann website.
Von, Metal Mike & Johnny Chromatic (Sebastian Bach's guitarists)
When Sebastian Bachs band recently rolled into town, Von couldn't help but seize the opportunity to talk to Mike and Johnny about their guitar pedals. The guys spent the next hour auditioning Von's Modded BOSS MT-2, which was then used during the night's performance.
Photos of the night's events have been added to my Friends Page
