I'm a writer, director and producer, whose been making short films for the last 13 years and I just finished my first feature film entitled, Godhead. My films are rooted in symbolism and conceptual sub-text. Taking film back to its roots, my work communicates in a way that transcends language, for imagery is the LANGUAGE of the mind.Thematically, my films explore psychological, metaphysical and spiritual worlds with a grittiness and edge thats a far cry from stereotypical spiritual images (dolphins and rainbows, etc). I prefer to examine the souls light to dark spectrum. I hope the the results are nothing short of vivid, visceral and sometimes cathartic cinematic experiences for the viewer.My work has screened across the United States and abroad including the Independent Feature Film Market, Newfilmmakers/NYC, Gen Art, Deep Ellum, Chicago Art Institute and the Kansas City Filmmakers Jubilee.Blurgirl Productions works in collaborative form with visual artists, photographers, poets, writers and musicians. Each artist exercises his own medium--at times asked to step outside of it and explore another. Poets may work on concepts for set design, photographers may write.
