Weathermen piss me off. They're always interrupting my programs. You want to watch TV but it's stormy outside. WELL, TOO BAD SUCKER! The weatherman has his sleeved rolled up and he's staying on the air until this line of storms passes out of our viewing area. Never mind that the viewing area stretches from the state of Mississippi almost all the way to Georgia. I know you f'n TV people have the technology to put a weather map in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, and crawl warnings on the top and bottom of the picture. Use this tech, why don't ya, and wait to come back on TV until you have some new information.
The TV Execs who keep canceling my favorite shows. Arrest Development, Freeks and Geeks, Any show starring Andy Richter, and now Journeyman. Come on people, keep a few quality shows on. Only by the grace of God do Chuck and Jericho survive, and the latter for not much longer.
I'm a Grungy type of guy, I'd say. I like all that early-mid 90's stuff. I'm not opposed to putting on some Skid Row though, if the day calls for it (and you'd be surprised how often it does).
I'd say my favorite musical artist is Frank Black. I a fan of all the Pixies spin off groups (the Breeders/Amps, FB and the Catholics, the Martinis). I dig Queens of the Stone Age, Interpol and of course the Foo Fighters, possibly the best 'rock' band playing today.
I'd pretty much watch a test pattern growing up, but i'm just slightly more selective now.Currently on my hot list:
NBC's "The Office" - I know some people like the original British version better, but frankly i don't find it nearly as funny as it's American cousin. The American version is one of a very few american remakes of british shows that are superior than the original. "Sanford and Son" being the other.
NBC's "My Name is Earl" - Jason Lee is great, and so is Ethan Slupee as his dimwitted but big hearted brother. White Trash humor at it's finest, and hopefully the resurrection of Must See Thursday.
"Amazing Race" - can't remember if this comes on ABC or CBS but what a great show. Every season has been great (except for the "family edition" but we won't speak of that ever again).
I've traded in American Idol for Biggest Loser on NBC. How could i not love a show that featured until recently two Crimson Tide linemen. Good Luck Roger. Loss that weight!!!
Also, i pledge my love to Jericho on CBS and it's post nuclear blast living in a small Kansas town, goodness.
It's just returned to CBS. Watch it why don't you.
Sci-Fi "Dr. Who" - My inner and outer geek both love this show and it's cheesy SFX and its lovely female companions. Exterminate, Exterminate!!!!
I've also just become obsessed with Battlestar Galactica on Scifi. Ohhhh, those evil Cylons!!!!
Right now, I'm reading Robert McCammon's latest novel; Queen of Bedlam. It's a murder mystery set in colonial NYC. McCammon is a writer out of Birmingham, and is quite good. he's best known for his Horror genre stuff, or perhaps the Book Boys Life, which is required reading in several highschools around the country.
Anyway I'm a fiction type of guy and mostly enjoy a brainless read, some W.E.B Griffen or Jack Higgens thriller, or a Star Wars novel. That's not to say that i won't delve into a classic or a Pulitzer Prize Winner, but those are much fewer and far between the trash i usually read. (Stephen King, i'm looking in your direction)
whomever created this comic here.
This remind you of anyone you know?
