I started DJing 7 years ago and got my first proper residency in 1999 at Speedqueen in Leeds, after a couple of amazing years there where i used to play all sorts of Funk, Hip Hop and Soul in the 2nd room i moved back to Manchester in search of a job and decided to try and further my DJing career here. Prior to leaving Leeds i became inspired by the DJs that i would catch at nights like Basics and Technique and a change in musical direction was called for. I progressively got more and more into the Breakbeat scene and after a lucky meeting on NYD 2001 I was asked to join clubbing website www.4clubbers.net as their Breaks resident and musical editor.
Useing the contacts that I was making through 4clubbers i set out to make a name for myself in Manchester and started the night ShowNoShame in September 2002. The club lasted for around 7 months and in that time we played host to names like James Zabiela, Annie Nightingale, Atomic Hooligan and Lee Burridge. The night served its purpose and got my name dotted about the city and secured me bookings at nights like Stylus in Manchester, HUM in London, Urban Gorilla in Sheffield and Tribal Sessions.
Fast forward to July 2005 and I was asked by the Sankeys team to join the team to help out with the press side for the club, due to a heavy day job workload i only did this for a couple of months, but keen to keep me on board I was offered the opportunity to host the 2nd room of the club at the legendary Tribal Allnighters, and i haven't looked back. 2005/2006 has been a fantastic year for me and has not only seen my stint at Tribal getting bigger and better but has also seen me gaining bookings at some fantastic clubs in the UK like Pogo (Dublin), Stealth (Nottingham), The Dirty Disco (Leeds) & The Plug (Sheffield - TBC). My music has moved on again now becoming more Eclectic, covering Tech/Acid House and alot of Electronic music, in a typical set you're as likely to hear an AlexKid, !!! or Laurent Garnier record as you are to hear an old Soft Cell, Depeche Mode or Joy Division track.
Up to the present day. I'm now proud to say im a part of the Warehouse Project at the old Brewery in Manchester (the old Boddingtons Brewery). I'll be playing monthly alongside such names as the Cosmic Twins, Luciano, Tania Vulcano, Steve Bug, Jeff Mills and loads more... As well as this i have a weekly residency at Mission in Leeds and a monthly residency at That Sunday Thing at Gatecrasher Leeds.
