About Me

The Walk OffThe Walk Off formed in late 2004 to make pop music. The production of sound, however, quickly became an alternative to more traditional forms of therapy, and a review of the first performance likened the sound to the opening salvo's of World War III.
UPDATE:

we have played with !!!, Polysics, and The Wurzels, at some point, amongst loads of others, whose memories have been eroded by time and partying too hard.

.. SOME OTHER PEOPLE LIKED US. THERE IS PROOF, BELOW.

Fiercely mentalist junglist thrash off.
You think you've heard rock n' rave? you ain't heard nothing til you've seen what this Oxford/Coventry/Bristol band (slogan: "stick your glowsticks up your arse, punks") can do with razor-sharp d'n'b, nasty thrash riffs, and Monsieur Blake's inhuman screeched vocals. 'Vader Fader' is the nastiest, while 'Kick' makes more of the d'n'b bass, but both are deeply danceable and certifiably mental

Like being in a dystopian cyberpunk nightmare somewhere around the turn of the next century and never wanting to leave, say. Or like dancing until all your internal organs explode. Either way it’s Hammer horror glitch-rock that requires a durable dancefloor, a strong stomach and absorbent undergarments. Taste the noise!
DROWNED IN SOUND, 2007.
www.drownedinsound.com
"The Walkoff show where the progression in the dance/rock interface should be right now, i.e. somewhere very loud and fast. This is where Squarepusher, intestine-mangling guitars, T. Raumschmiere, Britney Spears samples, Kid 606 and dancing bears collide by the sounds of it, literally. Result: everyone dances like theyre having their heads kicked in whilst standing up. Ave it.

Vicious Techno pop from Oxford that references the likes of Ministry and Aphex twin. It gives me a migrane and makes my head spin all at once.
NME, 2006
"If Michael Jackson was indeed the devil, and Aphex Twin and Atari Teenage Riot had produced 'Bad', this is what it may have sounded like."
Nightshift, Feb 2007

Brutal, absurdist industrial-strength electro from Oxford noise posse.Scarily impressive/impressively scary."

Imagine drum and bass without those horrible pill heads and the baggy ripped jeans, mixed with techno without the boring bastards who make it, crossed with pure harcore punk. You'd be close, very close.
