The Cupcake Club started out as a basic Craft Collective with an emphasis on stitching. A big quilt was created at the Truck Festival in 2007 and auctioned off to raise money for a charity called Haven House. It was a lot of fun, a big success and everyone learned about quilting... But it couldn't stop there!
The Cupcake Club evolved organically over the past year, ever since Lady Im of The Craft gave Piney a cupcake recipe book for Christmas she has wowed her friends with her specialty recipes... making batches to give to her travelling musician friends.
"A cupcake is small and perfectly formed; when you're on the road all you want is something to comfort you, something lovingly home-made" that's Piney's logic... and so she created care packages for her weary friends, the troubadours of our time. She is a beacon of home-baked goodness in a world of store-bought pasties and service station coffee. She is a wholesome light of sugar and spice and everything nice, illuminating the path of the artist.
Here are some of her most prized recipes (she never writes her recipes down so each batch is always different)...
1. Chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter frosting
2. Mocha cupcakes with cappuccino frosting
3. Miniature single-sized cheesecakes with fresh berries
4. Cherry chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting
5. Cornbread muffins with blueberries (wheat free)
