About Me

My son, Stevie, started this site for his sister. I come here often because in some small way it keeps her memory alive to others. If one person reads about her and decides not to drink and drive then her death means something. She was not a drinker or a drug user, in fact, she never caused any trouble. She was a parents' dream. I have forgiven Joshua Meads, the young man that decided to drink and drive thus killing my daughter. When he mouthed to me in court that he was sorry I saw the pain in his eyes. Wendy would have forgiven him. She could never stand to see anyone unhappy. She spend most of her time and money doing for others. She loved her brothers so much. If they wanted the most expensive tennis shoes out, then she made sure that they got them. At 16 when she recieved her first paycheck from her first job she bought me a dress and brought it home to surprise me. I cried. She thought of everyone else before she thought of herself. So I had to forgive, that's what she would have wanted.. He will live with what he did forever and so will I. What happened to her cannot be changed but please let this story help someone. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE.This site is dedicated to my sister who was killed by a drunk driver. She was 33 when she died. She was on her way back from her engagement party. My sister was one of those people who got along with everyone and touched many lives. My sister was a model/actor.1970-2003R.I.P I love you Wendy, Steve. It was August 24, 2003 and in two weeks Wendy would have started her senior year at the University of California in Irvine... she had a 4.0 average. But she will never be that senior because a drunk driver ran a stop sign and smashed into the car where she was a passenger. Killing her on impact. She was a mentor and devoted herself to helping a little girl that was a selective mute to speak. Because of Wendy's involvement in comunnity activities, her 4.0 average and her work in the lab at UCI she was awarded her diploma posthumously. I have it, but she never got to see the very thing that she worked so hard for. Bittersweet. Not long after she was killed I was sitting in my garden, my faith shattered, and I asked for a yellow butterfly and yellow roses to prove that Wendy was really around. At that moment a yellow butterfly circled my head three times and 5 minutes later someone brought yellow roses from their garden to my door. There ARE angels among us. It helped me but I still struggle with the task of living without her. She was my best friend. She was amazing. She will always be my daughter and my baby girl. God I miss her.
