Drew Tretick has established himself as an internationally recognized violinist and is a favorite with audiences for his expressive performances and warm stage presence. A graduate of the prestigious Juilliard School of Music in New York City, he has recorded and performed with the London Symphony Orchestra and others. His solo tours have taken him to Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, UK, France, Austria, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and Canada. In the United States he has been featured in venues from Carnegie Hall to Las Vegas and has appeared in television and radio broadcasts for PBS, ABC, NBC, CBS, ESPN, NPR, Nickelodeon, and Sony Pictures. He has also collaborated on stage and in recordings with Chris Isaak, Glenn Campbell, Sandy Patti, Tony Bennett, Doc Severinsen, Stevie Wonder, Dionne Warwick, the late John Denver and others.Drew began violin study at age five and was performing professionally before his teens. After graduating from the North Carolina School of the Arts high school, he competed for and won the coveted "Presidential Scholar in the Arts" award at Princeton University. He then went on to attend The Juilliard School where he received a Lincoln Center Scholarship and completed both his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in four years. His Master's recital was the first ever to be performed on the electric violin and was broadcast over National Public Radio. He later obtained a Master of Business Administration degree and also served as one of the youngest faculty members at Berklee College of Music in Boston.Drew appears regularly at Disneyland's "Downtown Disney" district and he makes special appearances in Las Vegas where a survey ranked him as a number one favorite entertainer at The Venetian. Following their win in the 2002 Olympics, the Russian pairs skaters selected the opening track of his Romantica album, "Time to Say Goodbye" for the Champions On Ice tour. It will also be used by Viktoria Borzenkova and Andrei Chuvilaev in the 2006 Olympics for the skating pairs competition in Italy.In addition to composing and arranging his own music, Drew has a variety of other interests including computers and electronics. He is also co-designing a Drew Tretick "signature series" electric violin that will be appealing to both students and professionals, and it will be available for purchase at the website in 2006. All members of his family are professional musicians including three sisters who perform with the Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, and Phoenix symphonies and a brother who is a concert flutist.
