My Personal Story:

Greetings to our FUTURE friends and business family! I just wanted to take a moment in writing to introduce myself to you so that you know more of our journey to this point and time.I have known about network marketing since the age of 16. I was born in Edmund, OK, to two Nigerian parents who came to America in search of OPPORTUNITY. I was the first born in my entire family in America, the first born son of four siblings, and I have been in Atlanta, GA, since age 4.If you understand the culture I came from, the pressure was on like Neo in the movie the Matrix - I WAS THE ONE FOR MY FAMILY! I watched my parents pursue the "American Dream" of education and employment leading to financial security only to find out 16 years and six-figures in debt later that the "American Dream" was nothing more than an overly-edified lie.My father achieved the highest education possible with five degrees, including a Ph.D., and my mother sacrificed furthering her education to care for us while my father pursued his education. The end result was an absentee father and a broken household.I taught myself how to tie a tie, went fishing my first time and caught my first fish alone, had no one to go to for advice on major issues, and watched our family systematically fall apart due to my parents not letting go of that failing "American Dream." Layoff after layoff, our family's finances suffered until the lack of money and opportunity in the house caused tiny issues to escalate over the years, and my parents' marriage ending in divorce.I was devastated and said "there just has to be a better way." I did not want to duplicate the results of my parents and others -- working for someone else, making them wealthy and having little to show for it but debt, dust-covered dreams and goals, poor health due to stress, and an unhappy household. I devoted myself to find an untraditional way to succeed and generate wealth after I learned that 70% of marriages end in divorce with nearly 100% of those marital issues stemming from a lack of time and money.That's when I found network marketing as a teenager. I quickly learned that the average person could live an above-average lifestyle and have both time and money together by taking advantage of network marketing. I fell in love with the industry due to the fact that in order to be successful you had to help others be successful too. There were low start-up costs and low risks, yet high return potential.Now all I had to do was learn enough to get started, find someone to mentor me, and figure out which company was best. It took a long time for me to find the best thing since sliced bread, but at age 20, I finally heard of a company I wanted to be a part of -- ACN.It took me until age 25 to actually find the right people to partner with, but I have not looked back ever since. My mentors are very successful, God-fearing individuals who have quickly become "my family." Now, a TWO-TIME COLLEGE DROPOUT, laid off four times by age 25, and $20,000+ in debt... the FUTURE is so bright that I need shades!I've been able to earn an executive level in the company that has made a HUGE difference in all aspects of my life. All it takes is desire + action: ACN didn't ask for my resume, didn't ask to see a degree, didn't ask my GPA, didn't ask how much I had in debt, didn't ask how much I had in the bank, didn't ask about my assets, and did not care how I looked or about my past. I was given a level playing field and a chance to re-write my FUTURE.I enjoy empowering others to do the same, and strive for seven days of Saturday rather than the 40/40/40 plan of working 40 years, 40 hours a week, to retire on 40% of what already wasn't enough to live our desired lifestyle while we were employed. I don't say anything to impress you, but to impress upon you, if not you, then who? If not this, then what? If not now, then when?In my first conversation with an ACN leader by phone, he informed me that "you can't get wealthy putting jewels in another man's crown." It was at that moment I decided to stop living below my means and capability. I decided to pursue a life of ABUNDANCE, and you can too.
