De Minister’s musical journey began at the age of twelve in the Caribbean Islands and has acquired an impressive repertoire ever since. Patrick scored his first massive hit in 1994 with the single “Shower Me With Jah Love”, followed by a string of critically acclaimed releases.In 1998, the track “If I’m Not Loving Jah”, taken from the top selling Easy Star Volume 1 compilation was an immense breakthrough. Patrick held his own among reggae royalty like Sugar Minott, Meditation, Sister Carol and Junior Demus, to name a few. Patrick Junior debut album Love Is The Message co-produced by Courtney Panton and released in early 1999 showcased the singer’s brilliant compositions and commanding vocal style that leaves audience requesting more, while ministering the message of love with good music and the innovative rhythms of spiritual upliftment.Patrick Junior’s principles toward Christianity and Rastafarian lifestyle, governed by the teachings of H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie I deeply influences De Minister’s music. In 2001, the smash “Jesus Is The Same” solidified the musician's faith in Jesus Christ (Yesus Christos), featured on the blockbuster Reggae For Jesus various artists, among notables like Luciano, Glen Washington, Richie Stephens, George Nooks, Ernie Smith and more. In 2003, Patrick navigated the scene with releases such as "Unity" and "Don't", as well as the highly anticipated maxi-singles “Jah Will Provide” and “Mr. Terrorist”, as well as 2004 Innerview Mixtape Vol. 1. The next year tunes like "Trodding (Tracks of Life)" and "Everlasting Work", taken from the Shine Your Light compilation created a major buzz.Spring 2006, Patrick performed in Jamaica among GT Aggregation Sound Station owned by Irie FM’s radio personality GT Taylor. Also, dubbed New York’s best summer festival Patrick Junior received accolades for his performance at the Celebrate Brooklyn 28th Season at the Prospect Park Bandshell, alongside Barrington Levy.
