questo è ciò che ho provato la prima volta che ho ascoltato "Age of quarrell" dei Cro-Mags. Era il 1986, un anno importante per l'hardcore e un anno importante per questo quindicenne, che scopriva in quel momento l'esistenza di "una scena", un gruppo di persone che viveva e respirava un certo tipo di musica e che attraverso i testi, cercava di trasmettere un messaggio più profondo. Un messaggio talmente potente da far sentire quel ragazzino parte di una realtà che si stava sviluppando a migliaia di kilometri di distanza.
Potenza della musica, linguaggio universale che non ha bisogno di traduzioni e che può essere compresa da chiunque. Pop, rock, metal, hardcore, punk, prog, hip hop, emo... per me sono solo nomi diversi che definiscono un'unica magia.

That's exactly what I felt the very first time I listened to "Age of quarrel" by Cro-Mags. It was 1986, an important year for hardcore music and an important year for this (then) fifteen years old kid, who was discovering at that very moment the existence of a "scene", a group of people living and breathing the same type of music and trying to spread a deeper message through their lirycs. A message so powerful it made this kid feel like a member of the same scene, despite living thousands of miles away.
Strenght of music, universal language that need no translation and anyone can understand.
