About Me

I made my myspace layout using Pimp-My-Profile.com

I, like many others here on MySpace, play music for a living. Wow, what a surprise. I own a recording studio here in Atlanta called Studio 84 and produce acts from all genres. I also own Moyers Sound Solutions. We are a company that designs, installs and services sound, video, and lighting systems for churches, school auditoriums and theaters. We currently serve Lubbock Texas, Austin Texas, Dallas/McKinney Texas and most recently Northwest Georgia.I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to see the world through the windows of tour buses and airplanes for the most part of the last eight years on tour with the group Lonestar. What a great experience that was! We toured all over, played on TV shows like Jay Leno, Good Morning America, the View (well, maybe I should have left that one out), The Grand 'Ol Opry, and various award shows like the CMA's the ACM's, etc. Although all the guys in the band and crew are still like family to me, I quit the road in January of '06 to pursue other ventures and to be able to spend more time with my my sons, Haydn and Clayton. They are the world to me.Lately I have had the incredible opportunity and honor to play at North Point Community Church in Alpharetta Georgia. It is amazing to be able to play music with that great of musicians, in that professional of an environment and all for the Lord. I am also doing a few dates with a new duo out of Nashville called BrittonJack (www.brittonjack.com). I played on about half of their album along with my steel guitar hero Paul Franklin, and play with them live whenever possible. Be on the lookout for their first single to hit radio soon.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

David Grissom, one of my favorite guitarists and a huge influence on my playing.

Music:

There really is not a lot of music out there that blows me away currently, atleast not the stuff on "commercial" radio. This being said, I dig Vertical Horizon, Switchfoot, Maroon 5, Bebo Norman, Matthew West, Todd Fields, Matchbox 20, the Arc Angels, Storyville, of course Hendrix, and SRV. I would also have to throw out there some of my buddies back in Nashville like Hot Apple Pie (Keith Horne, you are sick man!), BrittonJack and Amy Dalley. Check them out if you haven't already. THEY ROCK! I am sure that there are more, but this is all that I can think of now. Bands or artists that have influenced me as a player would include Dan Huff, David Grissom, Jimi Hendrix, Paul Franklin, Buddy Emmons, The Beatles, and the list is ever growing.

Movies:

I do not watch alot of movies, but there are some good ol sandard "bus movies" that must be listed here. They are, in no certain order, Blazing Saddles, Anchorman, Happy Gilmore, Varsity Blues, Jesco White "the dancin outlaw" (if you have been on the road out of nashville you will know this one), etc. etc.

Television:

I hardly ever watch tv, but I do like House, Extreme Make Over Home Edition, and all the forensic shows on A&E and Court TV.

Books:

Lately I have read the Bible, Bringing up boys (great book for all you fathers of little boys), and lots of magazines like Electronic Musician, Mix Magazine, Guitar Player, etc.

Heroes:

I am a huge Jimi Hendrix fan! When I started playing guitar dad went out and baught me every hendrix cd that he could find, along with Ten Years After, Cream, etc. and said "If you are going to play guitar, you MUST KNOW this stuff." Hendrix really had a huge influence on my playing.
