You still beat'n them drums..?

About Me

I started out on buckets, made my way to drums, then studied and worked as an orchestral percussionist after music school in college. Recently I've somehow come full circle, back to buckets...and it pays more than most gigs, ironically!! All those student loans....for what? Weird. Speaking of student loans, I went to East Carolina University for music where I was fortunate to study with Mark Ford, Carroll Dashiell, and Harold Jones. I also had the great fortune of studying with Will Kennedy, Peter Erskine, and Michael Burritt while there. Since those formative years I have played in a wide variety of groups/ensembles as a drummer and/or percussionist including (but not limited to): 60's & 70's funk to 80's pop; bebop to rock; chamber/symphony orchestra to drum corps; world to country, and even some "unclassifiable" styles. I have really enjoyed the opportunities and experiences provided by my passion, music. I am thoroughly enjoying the process of continually growing and stretching as a musician. 'Have Gig Will Travel' Holla!!
