Don't knock on death's door, ring the doorbell and run. He hates that.

My Interests

I promise to myself to be so strong that nothing can disturb my peace of mind. I will always look at the sunny side of everything and make my optimism come true. I will think only of the best, work only for the best, and expect only the best. I will forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. I will give so much time to the improvement of myself that I will not have time to criticize others. I will live in the faith that the whole world is on my side so long as I am true to the best that is in me.Oh Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the winds, and whose breath gives life to all the world - hear me. I come before you, one of your children. I am small and weak. I need your strength and wisdom. Let me walk in beauty and make my eyes ever behold the red and purple sunset. Make my hands respect the things you have made, my ears sharp to hear your voice. Make me wise, so that I may know the things you have taught my people, the lesson you have hidden in every leaf and rock. I seek strength not to be superior to my brothers, but to be able to fight my greatest enemy, *MYSELF*. Make me ever ready to come to you, with clean hands and straight eyes, so when life fades as a fading sunset, my spirit may come to you without shame.FOOTPRINTS IN THE SANDOne night I had a dream. I dreamed I was walking along the beach with God and across the sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonged to me and the other to God.When the last scene of my life flashed before us I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at certain times along the path of life there was only one set of footprints.I also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of my life. This really bothered me and I questioned God about it."God you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way but I noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints in the sand. I don't understand why in times I needed you most you would leave me"God replied, "My precious, precious child. I love you and would never leave you during your times of trials and suffering. When you see only one set of footprints in the sand it was then I was carrying you."Circle me, Lord. Keep protection near And danger afar.Circle me, Lord Keep hope within. Keep doubt without.Circle me, Lord. Keep light near And darkness afar.Circle me, Lord. Keep peace within. Keep evil out.To do something, however small, to make others happier and better, is the highest ambition, the most elevating hope, which can inspire a human being.
