o'mg [oscar]

Born in Aveiro in 1980. Started studying music at the age of six. Some years later he entered the local conservatory where he studied Classical Piano untill 1998. In 2002 he completed a Composition Degree in Lisbon. In 1996 he began playing jazz and in 2005 he attended classes at Berklee College of Music, after receiving a Scholarship.
Oscar is currently teaching at Riff - School of Music, in Aveiro and he's involved in several projects like the o'mg (solo jazz with electronics), liftoff (quartet), erro de sintaxe (jazz duo), doublebeat (acoustic jazz drum'n'bass) and TeraGroove (funk latin 6-horn ensemble).
He continues writing music and he's also creating music for websites. In October he's starting his Doctoral Research in Jazz Performance at the University of Aveiro.
