Michelle Marie, better known as Chellez, was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Born to a Japanese mother and an Irish/French/Native American father she grew up in a diverse cultural environment. At the age of 12, Michelle and her family moved to Hiroshima, Japan so she could experience the true roots of her culture. Music being an important part of Japanese past time, it influenced her to pursue a music career as a singer/songwriter.Michelle decided to rellocate to NYC in order to kick off her career. She attended Five Towns College, focusing on the music business and performing arts to become a well-rounded artist. Networking and collaborating with talented producers and songwriters, allowed her to develop her own sound creatively as an artist. Her versatility can range from a sweet melodic tune to a hard hip hop beat, allowing her to easily crossover into many music genres.Chellez has collaborated with hip hop producers such as; Scram Jones (Black Rob, NORE), Ric Rude (Big Noyd, Infamous Mobb), DreaTraxx (Kurupt, Andrea Martin, LDA) and other up and coming producers.
