Her artistic research is based on a project-oriented work that combines vocal sounds with different media (video, photography, installations, performance, improvisation, concert-performance, fields recording, drawing, writing).
She performed and collaborated with Mario Volpe, Gianni Lenoci, Amy Denio, Phil Minton, Tristan Honsinger, Marcello Magliocchi, Rinus Van Alebeek, Rui Costa, Paulo Raposo, Antez, Ernesto Rodrigues, Nilo Gallego, Chris Iemulo, Antonio Mainenti, Ale Buzzi, Claudio Parodi, Pino Pipoli, Annamaria Ippolito, Paula Pinto and many others.
Since 2003 she collaborates with Mario Volpe and Vel Net to put forth various musical and perfomative projects.
In 2007, she started a collaboration with the portuguese sound artist Rui Costa, through a large scale intermedia project entitled ‘La Scatola’, which was conceived as a series of installations and/or performances. The Portuguese Ministry of Culture funded this project.
She is one of the directors of Binaural, a Portuguese cultural organization dedicated to the promotion of sound and media arts, in particular its articulation with local contexts. Binaural runs an artistic residency space in Nodar, a small village in the north of Portugal.
She teaches workshops specializing in the human voice and body expression. In collaboration with Rui Costa, she gives workshops called “the amplified expression of the body”, where body, voice, physical-acoustic space and sensors cross together, amplifying their expressive possibilities.
