About o.blaat

o.blaat was named after 'oblaat' - flavourless, melting, semi-transparant thin edible paper, exists only to melt and disappear. In Japan, it was used to wrap bitter medicine (esp. for children easy to swallow it), and candies (not to stick together in hot climate.) o.blaat creates environment and situations where sounds being heard, sounds for circumstances, sounds for bones and spines. o.blaat is curious to experiment one's relationship with sounds. o.blaat is personal, and love to create massive mess to disappear into.

Solo - "Car dÃ©calÃ© lÃ©gÃ¨rement - version Kutsugurui" @City of Women festival, Ljubljana, Slovenia. ... I used 100 pairs of women's shoes to experiment my feedback piece. High heels raise my height and vision, and of course hard sounds of their heels whilst the flats are closest to my usual 'level' yet different flats (esp. the fancy types) would give me unexpected loss of balance. Finally, all of the shoes would resonate in combination by making small semi-chambers. It was as if going through women's many phases of lives.
