Influences: NOITEBRA: Palabra gallega que define a una lechuza de grandes alas conocida en algunos lugares como “la cabra” por sus alaridos nocturnos; también se emplea para designar [generalizando] a cualquier criatura nocturna difícil de ver [real o imaginaria]. Este trabajo es mi tributo a la noche, que, desde la infancia, tanto influjo ha tenido [tiene y tendrá] sobre mí. Todo en él está grabado y compuesto de noche, siendo su espíritu el absoluto protagonista, entre los últimos 45 días del año 2007. Probablemente el desencadenante de esta obra sea la entusiasta mudanza a mi nueva casa; utilizando todo tipo de objetos que en ella había o yo le aporté. Prácticamente se podría decir que la casa misma [y su entorno más próximo] actúa como un gigantesco instrumento musical de múltiples posibilidades. He echado mano de diversas técnicas para crear mi vuelo nocturno: field recordings y soundscapes [sonidos que llegaban del bosque cercano, presumiblemente mi noitebra, respiraciones al dormir, casi omnipresentes en toda la pieza, lluvia, un avión]; objetos [lavadora, televisión, vídeo, vasijas de barro, jarras de cristal, botellas, latas, bola de mármol, figura metálica, libro, bolígrafos, ceniceros, velcro, cremalleras, cadenas, escalera plegable, despertador, zapatillas, cerillas, nevera, deshumidificador, manguera de ducha, caja musical, gotas de agua]; instrumentos musicales [guitarra eléctrica con dos cuerdas, flauta de barro, armónica, campanillas, palos de lluvia]; voces [de animales y personas que conozco, cantando o hablando]; circuit bending [cortocircuitos en un viejo micro]. Todo ello grabado con un micrófono para karaoke casero y, en ocasiones, mi destartalado mp3. Noitebra es mi respiración cuando el sol se esconde tembloroso; es mi canto y grito a la oscuridad del bosque teñido de sombras; es un viaje a través de esa negrura infinita que conecta directamente nuestro mundo con la amplitud del cosmos; es mi homenaje al momento en que todo a nuestro alrededor se transforma para hacer el amor con la inquietud, la magia, el misterio y lo sobrenatural. Everything is recorded and composed at night, being its spirit the absolute protagonist, between the last 45 days of year 2007. “Probably the triggering factor of this work is the enthusiastic change to my new house; using all type of objects that are in there and the ones that i put”. It would practically be possible to be said that the same house [and its next surroundings] acts like a gigantic musical instrument of multiple possibilities.I used diffetent techniques to create my night flight : field recordings and soundscapes [sounds that come from the near forest, presumably my noitebra, breathings when sleeping, almost omnipresent in all the piece, rain, an airplane]; objects [washing machine, television, video, mud vessels, crystal jars,bottles, cans, a marble ball, a metallic figure, book, ballpens, ash trays, velcro, zippers, chains, folding stairs, awakener, slippers, matches, refrigerator, dehumidifier, hose of shower, musical box, drops of water]; musical instruments [electric guitar with two cords, mud flute, harmonica, bells, rainsticks]; voices [of animals and people who I know, singing or speaking]; circuit bending [short-circuit in old micro].
