Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Jelone attended the School of Performing Arts alongside respected artists such as Erykah Badu and Lisa Loeb. 'I grew up listening to Stevie, Donnie (Hathaway), Fleetwood Mac, Hall & Oats, Prince and Smokey Robinson as a kid' he recalls. 'Thats what my parents spun in the house. Our cousin sang back-up for Smokey so we got to see them every year when they gigged in town. I think thats where I got this showbiz buzz from. That and of course, Michael Jackson!''In high school, I listened to U2, Depeche Mode and the Cure,' he explains of his magical musical mystery journey. 'Some industry people get freaked out when I tell them that. But good music is good music.
