He grows up in Trieste, north-east of Italian land.
Alessandro Ruzzier in his youth approaches the world of music. At 15 forms his first band. As a singer he begins exploring rock and blues to the introduction with jazz. In the 80’s, a quite rich period for Trieste musical production, he’s been the voice of several bands. During these years he gets also attracted by the new sound coming from not-far England: the “new wave†comes to diverge the paths followed until now. Electronic music starts to take on all types of instruments, atmosphere boldly changes towards new musical landscapes. During those years Alessandro Ruzzier started electronic experimentations together with other musicians, the first 4-tracks tape Tascams appeared and gave impulse to home recording and a start to sound manipulation and homemade postproduction.
And it’s among this contest that his musical identity takes shape: The Face are born, the first journey into electronic music as an author having its peak in the making of an album in 1989.
On 1992 this path comes to an end as well in the breaking up of the band.
During these years Alessandro Ruzzier discovers again one love: photography. Such an expressive potential takes advantage of music, at least of the live activity of the band which therefore stops.
And it’s from this event that the first dj-sets and radio programmes will follow up.
For several years he led a radio show, dedicated to electronic music on Radio Fragola/Popolare Network frequencies in Trieste. In 2000 he creates with 5 other people the Electrosacher collective and later the label Ohm Records. In 2005 he leaves the collective and Ohm Records to focus on new musical projects and collaborations with other artists and labels.
He adds to his name the pseudonym of Lomo, the name of a Russian photographic camera, as an evident link with world of images.
Eastlooprecordings is born, it's a structure dedicated to production, physical place of meeting and creations, small recording studio where ideas get shape and new projects are born. Eastlooprecordings can on the external support of the Sound Development Studio of Roberto Sopracasa.
