Elysium Theory was created in the early months of 2006. Formed by the three founding members (Drummer-Ted Feeney/Keyboardist-Benny Reyes/ and Guitarist-Tim Reid) they soon realized the immediate chemistry for writing music together. Tired of the cover band scene, and wanting something a little more challenging and thought provoked, they embarked on the challenge to promote themselves as an all original, progressive rock band.
As time progressed and material continued to be written, they knew that the search for a vocalist and bass player had to begin. Auditions for these two positions began in the summer of 2006. After several frustrating months, and the many talented musicians that had auditioned, in walked the bass player that they had eagerly been waiting for. The talent and chemistry that was brought into the project by this audition was immediately felt by all. Now, with J.M. Fister on bass guitar, their music had a more complete sound. With each member bringing in their own creative ideas, this enabled the other members to challenge themselves, as well as each other, to a more positive productive manner.
Priding themselves for having a "unique" sound of their own, and not one that is often heard in the local music scene today, "Elysium Theory" wants to stimulate the listener not only musically, but visually as well. Incorporating video imagery along with their music is yet another goal they set to accomplish. This will allow the listener to walk away from a show feeling that all of their senses have been stimulated.
Although the search for a permanent vocalist continues, there never seems to be any shortage of musical concepts or ideas. "Elysium Theory's" motto is "listening on a whole new level", so join them on the journey to experience progressive music on a whole new level. You have been marked on my profile map!
