DJ Wax presents a podcast on iTunes. It's a REGGAE show with dub, roots, dancehall, remixes, reworkings and dubstep. He always has session DJs in every week who play whatever they want in 2 mini-mixes and he also gets them to play their favorite reggae choon. He is called Alex Wax and has been working in radio for about 5 years. Growing up in the UK his first musical influences were the Beatles and Pink Floyd (who he went to the same school as) but over the next 15 years he built up a libray of vinyl spanning over 60 years of music, hence the name 'wax'.Still collecting today he thought it was time to share his collection finally with the listeners of SIN Radio. In it's first outing, his show is playing anything under the vast 'reggae' umbrella, but he doesn't want to genreise the music he plays. Sad as it is, SIN Radio can't keep Wax and he will be moving onto a new station soon. You can download his latest podcast at the link on the left in the music section, as well as his back catalougue, or you can stream/download all the shows at www.alexwax.co.ukYou can search on iTunes podcasts section in the iTunes store for 'reggae' and look for 'SIN Radio Reggae Dancehall Show'. Currently it's in the top 5 most downloaded reggae podcasts on iTunes, and DJ Wax would like to thank everyone ho has subscribed for making it so popular.Big up Rachel and DJ Crack who join me every week live via satilite and make the show complete.DJ Crack is a DJ/producer in Bristol and knows the music scene there inside out. He also produces a lot of the online content for my show and is a general web genius.Rachel gives the show a much needed female vibe with Leeds connection or her agony aunt slot. "We have built up a personal and working relationship over 20 years. This helps us to bounce comedy between us like it ain't no thang." Rachel is hoping to leave her hometown of Leeds to join up with the Reggae Dancehall Show in the studio as a co-host in the future. Everyone at the show hopes this will happen. If you don't have iTunes you can still stream/download the podcast at www.alexwax.co.uk"I don't believe my background, accent, country or colour matter in what I do, music levels the playing field. Sure there are better selectas on bigger radio stations with more listeners, but just listen to one show and tell me you didn't enjoy it, I bet you can't do that."The show has been on hold for a few weeks as Wax has been touring Europe and relaxing after graduating. The move to London is all setup and a new station deal is being finalized. Although Wax is sorry to leave behind Southampton he would like to thank the Uplifter for his promotion and hard work and everyone at SIN radio who he wishes sucess with the years to come.Wax is always looking for new talent and exsisting artists to come and share their vibes with his listeners. "I don't want any 2 shows to be the same, so far ever dj has brought their own sound to the show and I need this to continue so link me up anytime, anywhere."
