With a voice like whipped velvet & the ability to openly write about the things she's been through, Ms Shayna Lea will definitely make you feel what she's singing. Known for being the more "laid-back" or "quiet" half of the duo, you can rest assured everything she chooses to share is real & from the heart. This soulful songstress began recording at the very young age of 10 yrs old. At that time, singing about what other children sing about, of course. Now that she's a little older, Shayna wishes to portray a "female R. Kelly" like style which will interest both genders. Some of her musical inspirations include; Tina Marie, Mary J. Blige & Janet Jackson. Shayna was inspired by her sister, Shontel, to write songs. She says, "When I'm writing & singing about my own experiences , I feel it makes it easier for the people out there to relate to me, personally..I mean that's what it's all about.."
Like fire to ice, Shontel's raspy tone can definitely take some credit for bringing the heat to Entyce. With her naturally warm, yet feisty persona, she's well known by her loved ones for taking the weight from unnecessarily heavy situations. Shontel's love for music began at an early age. While the rest of the children found excitement in outdoor play, a seven year old Shontel was more than content in front of her mother's stereo listening to the latest R&B cuts or pretending to be in a studio recording hits by R. Kelly. Now as a part of Entyce, she wishes to portray a sexy, feminine, & unique style that girls can relate to and guys will enjoy. Shontel's musical inspirations consist of Janet Jackson, Aaron Hall, R. Kelly and EnVouge. She describes Entyce saying, "We both take up for what the other one lacks, that's what makes us the perfect duo."
