About Me

The Staboola McPet Quintet was formed in August of 2005 and has been playing non-stop since. This versatile group plays several styles of jazz and have many varied influences including: latin, swing, afro-cuban, and funk, just to name a few. The instrumentation, which consists of saxophone, vibes/marimba, piano, bass, and drums, is part of what makes this band and their sound so unique. They are incredibly pleased to announce the release of their first album "What Now?" which features several of the bands original compositions, as well as two covers including Dave Brubeck's "Blue Rondo a la Turke." Four of the five of Staboola's members are currently studying music at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. and the fifth member just recently graduated with a degree in music performance. Each of the members have been studying and playing jazz since a very early age, and they all feel very privilged to have the opportunity to do something they love for a living. Staboola plans on touring and performing continuously throughout this upcoming summer, including a tour of the East Coast in June/July.
