JAZZ IN THE SCHOOLS

JAZZ IN THE SCHOOLS - A radio program dedicated to student jazz groups.

About Me

I'm Steve Ward the host of "Jazz in the Schools", a weekly radio program that showcases recordings by student jazz groups - jazz bands and jazz choirs. Most of the high school and college groups are from the Seattle/Everett area, but we sometimes include works from major schools like the Berklee College of Music, University of North Texas, University of Miami etc. We also spotlight pro jazz artists from the northwest. WE NEED YOUR RECORDINGS TO KEEP THE PROGRAM GOING! TO SUBMIT CDs, EMAIL: [email protected] Check out the Jazz in the Schools website. (view more) Read a great New York Times article on student jazz. (view more) Check out our new Jazz In The Schools video, written and directed by Matt Ward.
