This is Moskowicz,
An Utrecht based band that interlaces a musical fabric of common themes with hardrock guitar riffs that are as well identifiable and contextual. Interested in playing something more heartfelt and sincere, founding member Jordi Langelaan [vocals/guitar] began writing songs in the autumn of 2004 that combined energetic stonerrock influences with pop and a touch of Seatlle-based-rock.
In april 2005 he found 3 perfect soul-mates: Martijn Koolen [guitar/vocals], Herman Gaaff [bassguitar] and Bram Hakkens [drums], together they started rehearsing, refining and producing his rough ideas. The band drew influences from bands like: Led Zeppelin, Sound Garden, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, QOTSA to seamlessly incorporate harmony and aggression into a rambunctious mix that is universally appealing.
Three months later, Moskowicz entered the studio to record their self-produced EP titled "1". Six months later Moskowicz is invited to play the "Grolsch Grote prijs van Nederland" rock competition where they finished on a 6th place. just like the at the same time running Buzz-radio competition. In the meantime Moskowicz plays several great festivals and thanks to their raw live shows, Moskowicz turned out to be one of the finest and energetic livebands available today. Since the band's inception, they have amassed a large and devoted hometown crowd. From large venues to basements, the band worked out!
December 2005, Moskowicz entered the studio again and started to record their debut album "2". The album was produced and engineered by Mike B [Awesome Dudes from Hell!!!, Ned Zepplin, A Purple Tale]. And the result is a carefully crafted, ass kicking 11 track counting album.
June 2006, Wouter de Graaf was brought aboard and filmed Moskowicz's premiere video for their first single "7 days", to be released in conjunction with their debut album, the video cleverly captures the essence of 4 very creative persons, with one goal: to rock, to have fun and to be a litlle different than the others.....
